See, I would be jsut as worried as you fi it wasnt for multiple reports praising him on work ethics, studying , and working with coaches, multiple teammates singing his praises, and his body language and aura of confidence he seems to be presenting on the field.

This is a good start and and no way shows he exclusively wants to be a pop star.

I don't think he wants to be a pop star, my point was that the fans want him to be one soooo bad. I agree with you he is doing and saying all the right things and I hope that translates into a top quality QB.
