I could probably live with booing if I thought the fans who did it really knew when it was appropriate to do it, but the people that boo tend to do so too quickly and/or too often. Makes me wonder if they really understand the game or they just want the chance to be semi-anonymous jerks.

Since you put it that way, I will fall into the category of knowing when to do it and when play becomes consistently bad and knowing the difference that it may just be growing pains.
