Given that Atlanta's defense was pitiful last year and wasn't upgraded this year, I can understand where Falcon fans are mad that we signed our core group and will be a top 10 defense this year. So they take pot shots where they can. Seems to me if Richardson who is writing the check and Hunrey who has to manage the cap aren't worried, then I don't know why a rival team's fan should give a crap. They should be happy we overpaid which prevents us from spending down the road. On the other hand if he is a troll trying to stir things up (my vote), then he is just fishing.

Your logic here proves our point about Deangelo Williams. Williams is 28...but has never been a true feature back. He has always split carries with another back. Williams is never abused in a game. He has many good years left in him. There is no point in being critical about our GM, who rewarded a top tier RB (who's career average is well over 4.0 ypc) that has been underpaid his entire career. Good players with high morale play much better than one with low morale.

Again...our "crappy DB's" ranked 18th last year in defending the pass...Atlanta's ranked 14th. The two were seperated by a mere 19 yards per game difference.

The big difference??? We played a cover 2...which is known to allow more passing yards in order to prevent the big play. The middle of the field was always open, because of the system.

Why couldn't Eli Manning complete a pass worth anything against our DB's...our backup DB's mind you (starters sat out), on Saturday night? Just wait and see.

without a running game and a TE to stretch the field, Roddy will face more pressure and coverage. JJ and Roddy can't do it by themselves with Matt Ryan out there "dissecting defenses"..
