-He sucks despite what he did last year.

-Goodson is taking up space being a below average player and his cap hit is astronomical, he must be cut.

-Goodson should be as good as Tiki Barber in 2 years despite it taking Tiki 4 just to show the coaches he should stay on the team.. so it's rational to assume Goodson will never amount to anything.

-Therefore, Goodson is a poopie head and you are the rational one.

Would not be surprised if he gets cut or traded(not that hes worth anything, bag of footballs perhaps?)

So drawing any kinds of comparisons between them [Tiki Barber] is pointless, really.

My point is he's not that good of a running back period. No where near the talent those 2 guys you mentioned have.

So anyway, back to the discussion we were having. If I remember correctly, John Riggins had some fumbling problems when he first came into the league. And since I think that Goodson is going to turn into the next John Riggins (ie he will gain 40 lbs, turn white, and call a supreme court justice Sandy Baby), I think we should keep him until these issues are fixed.

Goodson is a very good runner. He is also a good pass catcher out of the backfield.

His faults are fumbling, at least up to now, and blocking in pass protection. If he could fix these two problems, he would be highly desirable to other teams, and frankly, might perform as well as DWill and JStew behind our line.

Without reading this thread, I have to say that one of our RBs has to be trade fodder at some point.

(Hint: The one that fumbles.)

EDIT: I would love to keep Goodson. but, I hope his fumbling problem gets better. I do think, though, that one of the backs needs to become trade bait for a position that we're weak at.
