Mike Goodson's fumbling problem

I am not so sure it's mental. As MHS pointed out, he runs with the ball away from his body. He's a good 3rd down back, but this problem worries me and is why I wanted to see us keep DWill.

And that is a habit. Habits can be broken. Question is will he fix it.

Now will all those poeple whining we paid dwill too much and think we have 3 starting quality backs finally stfu. As I have said a million times Goodson is NOT a #1 back and really not even a #2. He is a change up back, and if he keeps fumbling he is worthless. Thank god we kept Dwill. I also want to see more of Sutton.

and get used to overpaying for stars, we aren't a big market team, 2-14 at that, we aren't a desirable city for most people with cash, especially young. Overpaying, is what we have to give. Goodson was an argument for why we shouldn't have given so much. I don't know how anyone knows if a player is overpaid until he completes what he is being paid for. I'd hate to go to work with that mindset.

He was getting hit by one guy, and the other defender punched the ball out from behind his arm, this is not him fumbling, this is him staying upright to long. But he didnt simply drop that ball. He should have probably just went down or out of bounds since he wasnt really going to get any farther anyways.

Fumbling in my estimation is failing to be prepared for contact from all angles when you are carrying the ball. Foster would be twisting and turning and run into a big hit jarring the ball free. He would get stripped from behind. It wasn't mental except to the point that he should have his head on a swivel being aware of where all the tacklers are as he runs. The same for Goodson. He seems vulnerable when he is in being hit. Doesn't tuck the ball away and protect. He either doesn't know he is about to get hit or can't hang on when it occurs. Other times he get hit hard and he hangs on no problem He is inconsistent.
