Cam with the 1's marched 70 yards right down the field for a scoring drive. Jimmy's scoring drive came off of a missed Field Goal 2-huge plays by Deangelo, and a 'good' pass by Jimmy to Olsen.

Barring some endzone drops, and Cam's game being entirely one-dimensional yesterday. I'm thoroughly more impressed with Cam.

In all of Jimmy's time in the NFL including preseason play.....has he ever moved the ball as easy as Cam lead the offense in his very first NFL drive? granted it didn't result in a TD but Cam looked very solid behind the starting OL.

That is 2 weeks of work going into that. kid could legit sooner than most give him credit for......I also think Cam's play with the 1s should be distinguished from the 2s.

Yes, the same game...a 54 yard drive in 58 seconds? Short memory....jeez.

If I'm not mistaken, he has as many pick sixes in his career as TDs now. That can't happen. Also, the floater to Fiammetta in the flat could've had him killed. None of Cam's throws did that. So if that's your version of an NFL starting QB, all I can say is WOW.

Clausen didnt throw a ton of interceptions last year like some people sound like. he threw 9, Sanchez had 20 in his rookie year, the issue was Clausen didnt take chances downfield often and looked as if he wasnt ready and looked like a deer in the headlights last year.

As for a floater, i think Cam had one to Goodson, that almost got him killed, but that will happen for young QBs, that's something that experience and coaching usually can fix

Swing and a miss. By the time he had released the ball Pierre-Paul had made contact with Jimmy influencing the throw. Again, it was a bad pass. I'm not sayin it wasn't.

So was ALL of Cam's incompletions drops or is that just your version?

Screens are an extension of the run game. Williams accounted for most of the drive.....With a short field.

In his first NFL drive he went 62 yards and threw for 40 of them and the drive went quick......I don't think Jimmy has ever driven the offense that far and in that time frame.....Cam deserves credit.

Where did I say all of his inc.'s were drops? LOL...

Please quit trying so hard.

Both of these guys are our QBs. I'm happy to see Jimmy's progress but for anyone to say he looked better than Cam when taking everything into account, is seriously misguided.

i forgot how many pick 6s Sanchez had, but with 20 interceptions, i bet it was alot. like i said, the issue with Jimmy last year was more on what he wouldnt do, he wouldnt throw much deep and threw a ton of checkdowns and looked lost at times.

True.

But Cam went 62 yards in his first NFL drive.....throwing for 40. he was able to move the O all the way down the field in 3 minutes and 30 seconds........fact remains Clausen simply has never moved the O like that before.

Gotta give Cam some credit for what occurred the little time he got with the starters.

I'm not, that's what is so amusing.

I'll take a QB with the rating of 91 and 10 yard average over the QB with a 67QB rating and a 7 yard average. The one with the 91 rating didn't quite have a full quarter's work either.

I like both QBs but stats don't lie and...fug John Fox, stats aren't for losers.
