I'm so pumped for this season. Arsenal will future one of the best squads in almost a decade.

Podolski-Van Persie-Giroud

M'Villa-Song-Wilsher

Santos-Vermaelen-Kochelny-Sagna

Complete turn around from fast years small and speedy to big and physical style. Arsenal is also trying to acquire young russian star Alan Dzagoev. I've never seen Arsenal buying so many quality players.

Isn't that defense worrying you? Unless the plan is outscore opponents which almost never works.

Kochelny, Vermaelen and Mertesacker are all good CBs. Sagna is very good RB while Santos is an average LB. Arsenal defense was too injured last year. Starting 4 never played a single game together... M'Vila should be able to help a lot with defending, dude is a monster.

None of these players are true superstars. A couple nice pieces but you don't have a Ronaldo or Drogba.

Just think of that. These three players (Podolski-Van Persie-Giroud) accounted for almost 80 goals last year. Show me any other starting trio in the world that had 80 goals combined last year... Let me help you you won't find it. M'Vila (21) and Alex Chamberlain (18) are 2 young and raising superstars. Wilsher was injured all last year but he's indeed a superstar when healthy. You don't have to be Manchester City to win trophies, you just have to have a great team.

PS: RVP > Drogba... just fyi.

Yeap. I'd sell him for 40 million but I doubt Arsenal would. Manchester City and Juventus ready to give up a lot of money for him. Drogba had only 2 seasons for Chelsea with 20 goals or more... In the same time span Van Persie had 3 seasons with 20 goals or more for Arsenal and Van Persie 6 years younger than Drogba. Drogba scored on 25 more goals than Van Persie in 8 year span. Van Persie is in his prime right now so he should absolutely surpass Drogba in every statistical category.

I don't know what number you are quoting but it's hard to compare goal totals because there are so many different cups and the squad competition is different. The bottom line is I would take Drogba at his best over RVP at his best. Both of them have poor character in my mind. There are only a handful of of true in form superstar strikers in the world. There are plenty of great players but the clubs that win leagues usually have guys that are on another level.

Maybe I'm to harsh on RVP, I've only watched him vs. Fulham and in the Euros and he was sub par in both. What makes Wilshere a superstar? He had a nice year 2 years ago, what is he? 20 years old? You don't name someone a superstar because of potential they have to actually play like one. He's no Keane, Pirlo, or even a Gerrard. Maybe he will be but not yet.

Wilshere was amazing 2 years ago. He'd be starting english midfield was he healthy. Btw, as natural strikers go, RVP is one of the best in the world, 37 goals last season is no fluke. Also, Christiano Ronaldo is not a striker, he's RW. Just what Podolski will be for Arsenal.

Arsenal signing of M'Vila is in doubt...

Wenger is said to be unhappy with the 21-year-old's involvement in a spat with France coach Laurent Blanc during Euro 2012, which also involved Hatem Ben Arfa, Jeremy Menez and former Gunner Samir Nasri.

It's just the latest in a long line of incidents which have clouded M'Vila's character, with plenty unimpressed that he's been arrested three times in the past two years for various offences including attacking a restaurant owner after a bout of road rage, using prostitutes and punching a teenage boy who had shown an interest in his sister.
