Verminator is injured reportedly too. People say he needs surgery. I think Arteta plays attacking mid. And am I crazy to think Walcott needs to play striker and we should put RvP at midfield?

I think if Arsenal put out a team with 4 new players in it will struggle.

The ideal team for Arsenal once the new signings are settled would be:

Szczęsny

Sagna - Mertesacker - Vermaelen - Santos

Ramsey - Wilshere - Arteta

Van Persie - Walcott - Benayoun

Walcott would make a good striker, he reminds me of Michael Owen, fast, decent finisher and hard worker. Van Persie is played out of position here but i think he's good enough to play anywhere and be effective. That line-up would be very fluid, would be hell to mark the likes of Ramsay and Wilshere making runs from deep.

Arsenals biggest problem is still depth though.

He does play there for the national team and I think he played there for his previous club. IDK though, I just don't see him as a true striker.

RVP is much more effective playing in an attacking wing position in an off-set 4-3-3 where he can cut across the box instead of being a lone player up top, much like the old Henry role.

Horrendous performance by the Gunners today. We beat Swansea 1-0. Is Walcott good at anything other than being fast? He has absolutely zero skill with the ball and a bad attitude on top of everything.

We need Wilshere back, Ramsey isn't ready to start at this level.
