Can C Gamble regain his form?

Sure they are definitely some of the best in the business, but imo neither could shut down Larry Fitzgerald 1 on 1.

To be effective against him, Gamble will need help from the safeties and lb's, as well as good pressure against the qb. And even then, he might still get burned on occassion.

of course everybody gets beat, my point is that most people view a "shutdown corner" as a person that most teams avoid throwing against & i feel that gamble is not that type of corner but he can be a step below that if he plays like he should. the fact that we are playing a more agreesive scheme benefits him IMO

Gamble is a very good corner. His performance only slacked off once we transitioned to a cover 2 scheme...which he is not suited for. He will fare well as he did in the past when matched up with a WR rather than covering a "zone" or particular area of the field.

Not having a blitz the past couple of years has really hurt our corners. I don't care how good of a corner you are, you can't cover a wideout forever. Revis is so good partly because the Jets have a ridiculous pass rush.

I think Gamble will have a much better year. I believe that last year a lot of our vets didn't give it their all because of how our season was heading. With a new offense and better Defensive line, Gamble will improve. The offense was so bad last year it kept our defense on the field too long and wore them down, This year hopefully would be different.

Also when does Gambles contract run out?

so the vets didnt play hard...right. that's why the team never gave up...even late in the season.

Stop. Just stop trying to explain away everything cause of fox.

Gamble obviously never quite recovered from his injury last year.. at least not well enough to play well enough for fox to bench him.

Now that i've addressed this post..on to another subject. Fans complaining we have no corners. Our secondary played pretty well last year. That was without gamble being in top form. Marshall is gone, but that isnt a big loss. I'm sure one of our many young cb's can step up and play at least as well as marshall did. Probably even better.

Add to that a more consistent pass rush, which will help the secondary even more.

This. A solid, consistent pass rush to disrupt QB timing would make Fred Smoot look like a worldbeater.

Well after listenening to the Frank and Moose show it sounds like gamble is complaining of a groin injury.Rivera was seen asking him "what is it now?

The concensus on the show is gambles head is not in it.

I am gettting a bad feeling that Gamble does not want it

I don't think his head has anything to do with it, groin injuries are hard to fake and very bothersome.

I actually think he's hungry to prove himself, but can't seem to get out of his own way.

I hope you are right. Persons was making it sound that he was looking for an excuse not to be out there.

Well I've been wrong before, but I have a hard time seeing him dodging practice when he was just told he get's to cover other team's. I'm a Gamble fan and maybe that's clouding my judgement some, but I have a hard time swallowing the notion that he doesn't want to be on the field with what Rivera brings to the table and how he ended under the Fox Era.

Wow, I've heard people saying he has 3 different types of injuries in the past week, anyone know whats really going on? First it was his guts, than his hammy and now his groin? Guy has been a huge disappointment as of late.

He's always struck me as a slacker... talented, but I question his heart. Kinda like Pep

That is it ...first it was a stomach bug..then a tweaked hammy and after one day at practice a groin.Rivera was seen asking him "what is it now" when he was complaining with the Hammy. My fear is he has lost his passion for the game......but that is pure speculation .Maybe he just hates preseason but only one practice?Frank was really bashing him for this on the Frank and Moose show Friday.
