WTF is invading the rush...

Face Fuging Palm...

Agreed... From the reports I've seen Cam is Amazing 25% of the time and less then servicable the other 75% of the time. He does not look like he's been in the NFL a yr. He looks like a guy that went to JUCO for a reason other then a stolen laptop. He will get there and be a great pro eventually, but more then likely it will be 2-3 years. So Clausen improving is nothing but good for Cam and the team.

If Mallett keeps performing like that the Patriots won't trade him. He will be the heir apparent to Tom Brady....

I didn't watch the game, but I've heard good things about his performance. I was saying for a while before the draft I thought he'd be the best passer out of the draft, and I'd have been a-ok with taking Peterson or Dareus with #1 and Mallett with our third if he were available (not that I'm regretting the Cam pick, but just saying Mallett looked like a very good future passer)

Well, if you remember, he was pretty decent in 'preseason' last year.

I guess to me, there is practice speed and conditions and preseaon game speed and conditions, then the whole other world of live games and playoffs.

We'll see what happens then; but, yes, it would be in the Panthers best interests if he succeeds.

If we does knows, in some surrreal world, maybe it's Cam that becomes expendable...very doubtful though.

It is true that in preseason most teams don't gameplan for a specific team or quarterback where they do in the regular season. So guys do look better in the preseason.

As for looking good in preseason, given he didn't score a TD all of preseason last year, it is hard to say he looked decent. it was just a harbinger of how bad we were on offense last year.

Look if Clausen blows it up and becomes a probowl QB, there is NO way we trade him. We have spent long enough looking for a franchise QB to trade him away for an unknown commodity in Newton.

Probowl? The guy can't throw it 40 yards in the air...clausen could improve but he still has major physical tools holding him back.
