There are a couple numbers floating around but he cannot comment if those numbers are accurate? Why isnt is so gaurded about "leaking" information about the Panthers draft strategy, FA signings, injuries, trades, etc, then. Wouldnt those be more important than a salary cap number?

we have enough money to make moves. the number being reported is not true it is higher. that is all i know. i do not have an exact number or how much.

this was just reported today.

Mike Jurecki of XTRA 910 in Phoenix is "hearing" that the Bills want a third-round pick in exchange for Lee Evans.

It's the same compensation level Panthers beat reporter Steve Reed, who writes for the Gaston Gazette, has heard as well.
