With out restructuring Evans deal or releasing a player, trading for Evans would put the Panthers over the cap. Carolina has 2.5 million in cap room for top 51 and is right around 13 million over counting all 90 players.

Evans would have to fit into that 2.5 and is currently slated to make 3.5 million this season and is also due a roster bonus of 3 million.

Not interested. We build through the draft, and trade only if a great opportunity presents itself (such as Olsen). Evans will not magically turn this team into a playoff contender, so why waste a pick and take away valuable playing time for Lafell and Edwards (and so on).

A lot of people on the Board were complaining that there will not be enough roster spots for some of the young talented WR's we have...now there is one more spot...We will be fine.
