I don't feel too bad about the receiving corp going in looking like this:

You have got to figure, with the Gettis injury, Olsen will be lined up at WR or in the slot a good deal more now.

Don't think so... even with Gettis on the IR and even IF we don't try to get someone else in free agency or via trade we have:

1. Smitty

2. Nanee

3. Edwards

4. Lafell

5. Pilares (possible practice squad)

6. Clowney (if we keep 5 or 6)

The 3 you named still don't make the team unless it is on Special Teams.

Lafell will not be the 2nd receiver I'll tell you that. Either we get another WR in camp soon worthy of competing for that spot or Naanee takes the 2nd spot.

True but you never know, maybe one of the WR's that replace Gettis ends up becoming the starter, or even a Pro bowler. Crazier things have happened in the NFL.

I honestly think his injury has some advantages. Gettis will be back next year and hopefully the injury wont affect his career.

LaFell had a pretty decent rookie year considering what our offense went through, so to put him at #6 is comical. I like Gettis better then LaFell but with Gettis out it has to be Smith, Naanee, LaFell, and either AE/Clowney.

Just thought it was hilarious you had LaFell below A/E and Clowney. My brother is a die hard Jets fan, clowney always looks good in camp and is a joke in the season dude is soft as qtip cotton. A/E still was a QB in college he may have a lil better work ethic than LaFell but C'MON MAN!

LaFell didn't show me enough last year to warrant him being automatically above the other two. Throw in Rivera's comments that they need to step up and the praise AE and Clowney have gotten.

You guys act like LaFell is a 5 year vet who is a constant 1000 yard receiver.

He's a nobody and SHOULD be fighting for his spot this year. Too bad he won't be, it'll just be handed to him again based on draft status.
