Who is the best American Rock Band of all Time?

Plus, rock itself has so many subgenres that it would be next to impossible to pick one absolute best.

This is embarrassing because when I think of the best rock bands..they just happen to be British...

lol. There are some great classic American bands though, Psychedelic rock especially. Hard to say the best because of the large scale of sub-genres.

It just might have be Aerosmith... because of what they have done.

As much as I love Grateful Dead and others, Pink Floyd and Cream destroys America's Psychedelic rock genre all together.
