There are no beans in Cincinnati chili, although some people prefer kidney beans making their 4-way a 5-way(Spaghetti, chili, onion, beans and cheese) Personally I don't like beans in Cincinnati chili, save them for Texas chili.

The best Texas chili I had didnt have beans, nor used ground beef. Used sirloin steak, melts in your mouth. Now I practice that recipe myself and have moved on from ground beef and beans.

I had a similar dish at Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill in Vegas. It used a mild green chile sauce and smoked Prime Rib, talk about melt in your mouth.
