Can we talk about how bad WFNZ sucks?

i can deal with the mac attack except for the off topic conversations.

jensen i can deal with. his polls and such are entertaining and different.

franks gotta go. thats a 3hr timeslot to fill and not really anyone to fill it. i could see maybe taylor Z and buck here. bucks ok but more of 1 a week role.

i dont like the ride home. while i hated packer, i still was drawn to the show to see how he would piss me off on a given day. also, beason and flair being fairly regular is nice.

I like Taylor, but Marc is a blowhard. Definitely a jock sniffer. I was embarrassed for him during the Steve Smith interview.

I was glad to see Packman move on. His show had gotten tired, and it was obvious he was mailing it in. Interesting how irrelevant he's become now that he doesn't have a daily platform. And his attempts at using Twitter are pretty weak. I haven't seen him tweet anything worthwhile. I never felt like he ever took a position with anything.

QCB is an idiot, but sadly, there is a huge audience for idiocy like this, not to mention rednecks calling in.

Mac and Jim - they've grown on me. I'm resigned to the fact that that's the best local I'll get. Give them credit though, they have Florio each week, which is outstanding, and have Panther player connections.

I actually like Mike Pacheko, on 730 and wish they'd put him from 4-6. I'm looking forward to more of Bill Rosinski, especially during football season. Richard Walker is a clown - it takes him forever to get to a point. And the Gastonia local coverage gets old, not to mention UNCC sports.

All I want is good local coverage of the Panthers, plenty of player/coach interviews. I don't need the hosts to be bigger than the show or the players. That's why I like Zarzour - I think he brings a nice balance. Unfortunately, it's offset by Marc with a C's idiocy.

I hate to be a grammar snob, but I absolutely cannot listen to Buckner. I literally cannot understand what he's trying to say some of the time. My cleaning lady can put together more coherent sentences, and she hasn't been in this country long.

Mac is a solid radio talent. I was a radio personality in Knoxville for over five years, and I can at least appreciate that Mac knows how to run an entertaining show.

FWIW, QCB is an act, and I think that's pretty well understood. His job is to rile people up, and I take it for what it is (pure comedy) and think he's relatively entertaining. As for Marc/Taylor, they're supposed to actually offer some consistency to the conversation, and I feel like all they ever do is work themselves up over things that no one cares about. Esp Marc. Marc's jock-sniffing is ridiciculous - if we wanted to hear jock sniffing, all we'd read is panthers.com and team-sponsored outlets. Radio guys are supposes to be OBJECTIVE, and this dude can't stop slurping Smitty long enough to hear what he has to say.

I like the QCB he is kinda funny, even tho he comes in and spouts nonsense. But thats his job, the callers that call in on the whiner line are hilarious. Marc James is just riding this whole start Cam thing right away because deep down he doesn't think he will be any good. So if we end up having the number pick next year he is gonna ride the Andrew Luck bandwagon around the world. I hope he is fired by then.

Could be worse. They could have Packman back.

They're getting better at least. "Frank and Moose" is definitely a step up from "Frank and Buck".

It was pretty good the 2 days Moose showed up for work. They need to rename it the Frank Garcia and Yarbs show, say what you will about em but they at least show up to work. Their should be a rule about not having a show named after you if you take 6 months straight off!

They have pretty much done that, and just call it breaking loose. I haven't heard them use the tag line with moose in a long time.

    • That would be a great pick, he might be my favorite for us right now.
    • The coach- Canales was a rookie hc and at times looked like it. But he did manage to revamp the offense, helped Bryce not look like the biggest bust of the draft, exuded positivity,  and made the panthers watchable again. We have a viable head coach for the first time since rivera The gm- Morgan had some hits and some big misses. Hits- the ol, Coker, demani, dj at first. Misses- almost every d player signed, brooks, the jury is out on x. I get what he was trying to do with brooks/Hubbard but it blew up in his face. Hopefully he learns from his mistakes. But he did trade mingo for a 4th, managed to get a 2nd rounder this year from the Rams and I am a fan of constantly churning the bottom of the roster The draft- x can be a solid player but not until he catches the ball, brooks was a high risk pick that didn't work out, Wallace, demani and Chau Smith can be solid contributors and showed glimpses, Coker and jt should be mainstays. And flipping a 7th round lb that was about to be cut for Jackson was a great move.  The offense- had its ups and downs but Bryce has turned from one of the biggest busts in nfl history to a potential franchise qb, that change is worth its weight in gold, thielen was crafty and underrated as usual, Coker was a gem, jt was the solid but has some growing to do, and Hubbard has been awesome, the o line was much improved as well The defense- well...they set records, injuries, poor coaching (imo), bad playcalling and just plain sucking this defense needs everything to change, we need horn and Jackson back and we get brown back but we need bodies and an identity. If they can do with the def what they did with the o then we can challenge for the division bc we already have some pieces there.  Overall- this was a growth year full of questions and some of the major ones were answered(qb, coach). For the first time in a long time the season didn't end depressingly and I do have cautious optimism for next year. But they need to learn from the mistakes of 2024 and if they do I like where this team is headed. On to the draft and 2025
