ONCE AGAIN... Why do you concentrate on the best on Manning and the worst of Mcnabb?????

If you want to be objective compare Mannings Best and Mcnabbs Best...

Or compare Mannings Worst and Mcnabbs worst.... This is the Bias I am talking about, why the hell would you compare Mcnabbs worst 2 minutes to Mannings best time in the playoffs when he's also had plenty of bad... You want to talk about Mcnabb... Talk about him at some of his good times on "The big stage"

http://philadelphia-eagles.net/history/2004/2004-nfc.html

And that was without the likes of TO, and the below average WR corps.. in the elements!

I know this game because I was in Atlanta and I am a Falcon hater... to give props to Manning for his 1 championship performance, but not give it to Mcnabb for this is bias.

Manning has more than one good postseason performance. The 2006 AFC Championship is just the best example.

Likewise, McNabb has more than one postseason choke. He actually has several. The Super Bowl was just the most prominent.

John Elway had his share of bad games too, but what is he remembered for? Those numerous fourth quarter comebacks. Those moments are what define quarterbacks, not their stat sheets.

You’re doing it again.... Why do you continue to compare Mannings best to Mcnabbs worst???

By your definition then Manning has more that 1 post season choke....

Looking at the comeback in Arizona in 08, Mcnabb has more than 1 "well played" post season game.

However Earlier you said.... He needs one well played performance on the big stage!!!!!! Those where your words!!! And I just gave you one! So is your story now changing? Or do I need to go back and quote your own words for you????

I don;t define anyone by their stat sheet.... IMO Elway is in the same boat... could not win without another star to carry him... Same as others... That's why I don't put as much stock into having to win the big game, because a lot depends on what you are surrounded with....

If a QB takes a below average supporting squad to the Superbowl and lose, IMO he may get more props than a Brady who did it with a great cast. It all depends for me...

You’re the one who came up with this criteria that a QB has to win a big game on a big stage and perform well to enter this category.... Those were your words... not mines... Unless I need to go and quote that for you also... if you forgot your own words

Because you will not find one time I said I believe stats are important... Only time I brought up stats were to prove the hypocrisy in your words.

I don't think the receiving core of Thrash, Mitchell and Pinkston are comparable to anything Manning has had to throw too. The one year Mcnabb had a legit option they made the Superbowl. That's one less appearance than Manning who has pretty much always had great wideouts. By the time the Eagles finally got another solid group around him he was already too old. I wonder what Mcnabb's career would be if he had Marvin or Reggie for those 4 years they made the NFC championship games.

And why do you continue to act like someone kicked your dog? :nonod:

I haven't seen a championship performance by McNabb that I consider to be worthy of calling him great. I have from Manning. Likewise from Elway. Brady I'm iffy on. He's good, but I think he's been on a dominant team that didn't require he do all that much (similar to Roethlisberger though I think Brady's better than Big Ben).

Again, it's my opinion. Does my opinion really matter to you this much? :sosp:

......

If McNabb steps up and plays well in a winning effort, then he crosses the threshold....

...I haven't seen a championship performance by McNabb that I consider to be worthy of calling him great. ...

Did you see the 2004 NFC Championship Game I was talking about a few post ago?

Are you saying that he did not play well in that winning effort?

Cause you specifically said if he plays well in a winning effort that crosses him over... So are you now back tracking on that statement? Or are you saying Mcnabb did not "play well" in the elements in that 04 game, with his below average supporting cast (TO was out with a injury)?

I'm saying I didn't think that performance was all that special, especially given that it was followed up by a horrendous choke job in the Super Bowl.

You could also try and point to the 4th and 26 game, but again that was followed up with another choke.

Had Manning choked away the Super Bowl following the 2006 Championship game, it would have nullified that one too. He didn't.

Sometimes when I see hypocrisy, I like exposing it. Is that a problem for you??

Given that you know nothing about me and you're only throwing the personal stuff out because your arguments are weak, no, I can't honestly say your opinion matters enough to me to present any sort of actual "problem" :nonod:

Don't flatter yourself. Frankly, I'm getting bored.

Given how hyped up you seem to be getting about it though, apparently mine matters a lot to you :sosp:

1) Great, so you just contradicted your previous post I quoted about only needing to perform well in a championship game.... That's fine, story keeps changing. Now you have to perform well, and have a good follow up performance, I can name players considered great that won't fit those standards... but no need to continue to point out hypocricy.

2) You being hypocritical about something has nothing to do with me knowing you as a person.... It has to do with you saying one thing, then the next it's different when it benefits your argument... So I don't know where this personal poo is coming from.

3) You keep saying my arguments are weak, but I have pointed out every contradiction I accused you of with examples, including your own words... While your story keeps changing... doesn;t sound weak to me.

4) If you're bored stop posting... I'm not forcing you to continue to contradict yourself. I mean you are what you are, and in regards to Mcnabb and QB’s you are very hypocritical.

If you say so

It's not contradictory. You just don't get it. Others have and are comfortable with agreeing to disagree without going off half-cocked on a personal attack like Don Quixote on a crusade.

(sheesh) :nonod:

    • I mean that’s not an argument I go with… But in ACC play, both Clemson and SMU covered the spread more than Miami.  Miami didn’t cover in 3 games.
