Cam Newton 1 of 30 of the Worst NFL Starters Entering 2011

It hasn't. And seeing as an article about Tony Pike's preference of sandwich bread gets triple posted within 5 minutes should reiterate what a steaming pile of dog turds you've just shared with us here.

Ignore the quote then, it is slightly irrelevant anyways. You have seemed to miss the entire point of this thread.

Cause when I want to learn about the my team I don't want to hear from people who've been following for years and are actually going to practices. I want to hear from some schlub who finally understood this team after he read the Panther's section in the Lindy's NFL Preview he bought this May.

Hearing an opinion on a rookie QB from someone outside of idiotic posters (homers, etc) which I see a lot is an complete difference. There was a value in the opinion, otherwise I wouldn't have posted it.

As does the fact that another QB is currently starting.

We know who is starting before the preseason? No, we do not. Clausen could do terrible and so could Anderson, or they don't preform as well as Cam.

Yes! Let Jimmy take the live bullets against the likes of Arizona, Jacksonville and Washington so Cam can feast on the cupcakes that are the Colts, Bucs, Saints, Texans, and Falcons.

Week 7-11 are all against mediocre teams we could beat. There is a decently long stretch of hard games before, and another long stretch of hard games after. So if Jimmy or Anderson obviously aren't the guys for the team we start Cam on an easier schedule. If you cannot find the value of this, then commenting on my earlier statement was useless.

Agreed. Starting Jimmy Clausen week 3 versus the Bengals was perhaps the greatest mistake of John Fox's career.

He wasn't suppose to be the starter, he was the "future". And honestly, I doubt he was being developed as a becoming starter at the moment and didn't have the mindset of being the starter.

"I'd just like to finish my thread starting post by saying I had no real point to begin with."

Thanks again for participating. You're what makes this board.

You've failed to comment on the actual point of the thread, and seem to have completely missed it, instead you've decided to "bash" me.

Guys come on. The point of the thread is Cam may not be the starter but he might be. The guy starting may be someone else. Or maybe not.

Furthermore if Clausen and Anderson don't perform well in preseason, they may not start. Then again they may.

THIS HARD HITTING POSTING DEMANDS RESPECT!

You continue to misunderstand what I am saying. :\

Armistice no one is misunderstanding you. Your thread is poo. Your opinions are poo. The article is poo. You are poo. Your life is likely poo. You should probably geld yourself so you cant breed.

You unfortuately seem to misunderstand those simple facts, and therein lies the point of contention.

So based on TC so far and the fact that Clausen is slated to start Saturday night, the whole premise that Cam will start may be totally premature. Lets see hwat happens first. If Pickles or Anderson play well, we might sit back and let Newton ease into the game and just use him for specific packages.

More on the article at the link. Dunno if this has been posted or not.

Interesting to see someone outside of the Panthers close followers (and other, lesser followers of course) make a comment on Cam starting. A nice break from reading homers and other silly peoples making predictions. :3

So, it brings up the subject of starting a different QB.

Such as taking a gamble on Derek Anderson or Jimmy Clausen? The profit of it is simple, let our tougher games sail by (most of the first 5 or 6 games are going to be tough on our QB's) and then once Anderson and/or Jimmy does bad enough Cam starts with easier games. Or, Anderson or Jimmy proves to be good enough to start the rest of the season.

I know a lot of you guys are hell-bent on starting Cam week one, but rushing him into the starting position would be terrible. Look at what happened to Jimmy, many figured he'd be a solid starter but after being pushed into the starting role he flopped. However, neither Anderson nor Jimmy have showed themselves more reliable QB's for the starting position.

I'd rather read things written by "homers" on players and coaches that they actually know something about and pay close attention to rather than...

Bleacher Report.

:eek6:
