True, but the guy refused to believe welker is ever in the slot, at the time of the back and fourth bashing with him, I blatantly said you must never of seen an offense posession by your beloved pats if you think welker isn't a slot receiver.

He also said revis is scared of welker thats why he never covers him, I laughed for a good 5 minutes.

And btw thanks for the bump raging bull, forgot about this thread.

Welker would never get this kinda praise from Revis.

If you take off that 99 yard touchdown that the sorry Dolphins gave him, Smitty would be leading the league in receiving yardage. Plus it takes Welker more catches to earn what Smitty makes with less. After this week, Smitty will be leading the league.

What if you take away a busted coverage play that benefited Smith? Point is, you just don't take away plays.

You can't compare a slot receiver(Welker) to a wideout(Smitty).

Welker catches short passes against linebackers and is reliant on YAC Steve Smith catches passes against corners and plays against linebackers, corners, and safeties.

Lets look at the little things before we get to the big thing. Steve Smith has a faster 40 time and a higher vertical. Welker has a step on him in the quickness drills, but isn't that what a slot receiver should have? Now to the big thing, the triple crown, end of story. What makes Smith's triple crown even more amazing, he became the first player in 21 years to lead the NFL in receptions while playing on a team that runs more than it passes. Without a Randy Moss, Wes Welker would not even be in the same picture as Steve Smith. Take away the threat of Moss going deep and you have a 800 yard receiver like in 2010, it is as simple as that.
