In the interview this morning he made no qualms of saying his family was the reason he was staying with Carolina, and that his family is more important than his work.

I think he probably has plenty of trade value and that they were working on that but stopped pursuing anything once he told them he'd stay.

When he made this comment he was talking about his "haters" that think he has lost a step. I was talking about off the field. No doubt he can still play at a high level. He just needs to start following through with all his talk.

i dont understand this view point.

He has handled himself like a pro. He didn't demand a trade. He went to the owner, whom he is close friends with, and asked for a trade. He only wants to be in a competitive situation. That really isnt much to ask. If your heart is broken over such little things, i suggest you check yourself into a mental institution, so your heart and feelings wont continue to be broke cause modern society as a whole.
