He also has been talking about how exciting learning the new offense has been, and talked again how they did not make it exciting last season, said last season's offense was like "watching paint dry". Said that he was not only limited last season, D-will's playmaking ability was limited by lack of creativity.

Said he believed Naanee could be a number two, also said that he told Naanee he could be the number 1.

Talked about Jimmy and Cam and who should be starting, said that preseason would be vital and that when the "lights come on" some people shrink up and can't preform.

Basically reiterated that he was going to be a Panther for life, whether it was 1-5 more years, said the Panthers might have to tell him to go home one day. Also, said his reasoning for coming back was because his "family is more important for work".

Loved this quote I just heard, "I'm gonna let them haters keep hating, and I'm gonna keep cashing them checks".

Completely true, while it's disappointing that they didn't land one of them. I'm happy that they at least tried to improve the WR spot by landing a big name there.

How is Cam's progress coming? What can you tell us?

Cam has done great in practice, but the difference maker will be how he responds in games. That is what Rivera is looking at. We will see who responds well on Saturday night.

What do u think about Nanee?

He knows the offense, he's given me some pointers. Im optimistic and feel like it was a good move. They wanted Santana/Floyd and it didn't work out. Hes a young guy thats hungry and wants to prove he can be a #2. Steve even told him he can take #1 if he wants. He's gonna bring in the other element of experience like Shockey and Olsen and it breeds competition.

What were the reasons why you wanted to come back and play/retire in Carolina?

What I said was Ill always be a Panther, whether 1 yr or 5 yrs from now. When I shut it down, it will be as a Panther. How this is gonna look in 2-3 years, Im not sure. I woke up and said hey, this is where I wanna be. My agent was asking where we were and I felt like the best move for my family was to stay in Charlotte. Im here, still a Panther.

When I said Ill stay, they wanted to know the reason. My family is more important to me than work, and they wanted to stay, and we are happy about that. Im not gonna look back and regret, Im happy with my decision. Just move forward and go out there and run some routes, have fun. Hopefully it turns out well.
