Rivera releases first Depth Chart

Wright and Martin will be waived with Pilares cut, but signed to the practice squad. That leaves one odd man out becasue we won't carry six WRs. I think Edwards is the guy AND he's still eligable for the PS as long as he doesn't get picked up. That's a big risk though.

We will carry 6 and Pilares won't be cut and put on PS. Too much of a risk to have him there.

Interesting

-Mackenzy Bernadeau lost is starting job to Geoff Schwartz during last season. Perhaps he is winning it back.

-Duke Robinson looks to be on the bubble of making the cut. Perhaps more outside looking in.

-Burney looks to be #5 or #6 on the depth chart which may mean practice squad.

-Many thought Neblett and Hayden wouldn't make the final cut but Neblett might make it.

Norwood starting over Hardy? That second starting spot at DE was basically laid out for Greg Hardy, so how is it that a six foot nothing is beating him out? Hardy better start buckling down!

Hardy has been injured. He hasn't even practiced yet.

I don't know if it says more about Brown or Norwood that Norwood has already overtaken Brown for a starting DE spot...

Brown has been pretty bad since we drated him. Very small improvment and then suddenly none. Im not sure what his future has in store, but I dont see him sticking around for much longer.

I gaurantee Edwards will not be cut. Rivera has said, the more things a WR can do, the more valuable they are, i.e., Special Teams, or handling kickoffs or punts. Edwards would make this roster before Lafell or Clowney.

That's seven then, which definitely will not happen. Somebody has to go...the numbers won't work. Pilares is a fifth rounder coming off surgery...not to much of a risk stashing him on the PS.

If we do only carry five, who's the odd man out? Also, if we do carry six WRs where does the offense spare the other player?

Yeah, he doesn't seem explosive enough to get away with his size.

I hope it works out for EB cause he's a good guy, but he's going to have to find a different gear to make up for the size disadvantage.
