LaFell Odd Man Out?

No way John Kasay gets cut either.

(oops)

Again, I think it's unlikely, but there's evidence that Rivera may be more of a wild card than anyone expected. So for my part, I think it's best to assume nothing.

John Kasay was well-respected, considered a leader, one of the more consisdtent guys on the team and as closely identified with the franchise as anyone short of Steve Smith. If a guy like that can be cut, it's tough to classify anyone as "untouchable".

I agree. It is still to soon to tell but not having a value on special teams may bite him.We went out and signed a WR for a reason.

If someone were to tell me before the lockout ended "I know for a fact that Kasay or Lafell is getting cut, which do you think it is?" I woulda said Kasay. Lafell had a couple freakish 1 handed catches last year. He made some good plays, had that long endaround run. Not saying he was the most awesomest rookie WR ever and is impervious, but he's shown enough to be given some time for his injury to heal, in my opinion.

And I don't see why we are necessarily only keeping 5 WRs. We could very well keep 6 if TWO of them are going to be ST players like has been mentioned...just because an article written by Reed or Fowler or someone said we're likely to only keep 5 WRs doesn't make it so.
