Couscous -- and recipes

Is pretty good. Never tried it until recently and definitely prefer it over white rice and pasta. Anyone a fan? Got any good recipes?

For some reason I've really been getting into North African style dishes

I just buy the mixes from the store. I like the garlic parmesean the best.

dude, you could not be more wrong.

/likes couscous but doesn't cook it very often.

To each their own, I can see how people like it. There are certainly good dishes to be found, but for the most part the food from the ME and NA just doesn't do it for me. The flavors in their dishes tend to be distinct rather than complimentary (again, personal preference) and they really emphasize fruits/vegetables over protein. I'll take Italian, Spanish, Mexican, Chinese, or Argentinian food any day over Moroccan, Lebanese, Palestinian, Turkish, or Greek.

try Israeli CousCous and Quinoa as well (I prefer the red over the white)..very good and you can interchange all of them

You have to try Tabbouleh it's yummy and it's really healthy

I add cucumbers to mine as well. Throw in the shrimp or chicken and you've got a meal. I make my own hummus too. I love Mediterranean food!! Here are some websites to browse
