from the panthers stand point unless the #1 pick is attached to this it makes no sense for us so I doubt this is true.

A #1 pick and a case of beer and anyone can have him.....I'm just ready to get his ass outa here so we can free up some money :mad:

Personally I'd like to have their 1st and Eddie Royal. We need another receiver anyway. More than likely we would draft one early too. This would fill a position of need and give us a first rounder. Id take that in a heartbeat.

I'd like to be the king of Spain.

Both have about equal chance of happening.

Exactly. And what's really embarassing is that even though that fact has been pointed out, there are people still stupid enough to ignore that fact and keep a BS rumor going on and on.

I couple months ago a guy came to our board claiming inside info, among other things he said the Broncos would make a play for Peppers. This was well before he got franchised.. Now this rumor comes from someone else, and most everyone on our board is looking at it as just that, a rumor!

Anyways, not that I believe this to be true, I will give my thoughts on it. I would rather us give you our 1st and 4th for Peppers. Instead of letting Hillis get away. I'm not sure of the value our new coach is putting on him, but IMO it probably isn't high enough. The guy wanted to trade Cutler so it's pretty clear he has some trouble in that area but that is another story.

Hillis can really be something special, If he were included in the deal and it went through, you guys would see more of me in the future. You would love watching him run away from LB's and absolutely destroying S's. He catches everything thrown his way as to why he got hurt in the first place. :(

I really hope we do not trade him, but if we do I can think of a lot worse places to watch him play then Carlina.

I know some might say Peppers is worth more then a 1st and 4th but you have to keep in mind, he wants out and getting rid of the possible contract dispute and freeing up the cap would be a benefit in itself. If you were able to get Hillis, Sheffler and a decent pick, that would be a win win for both teams... Mainly because I'm not sure McDaniels knows how to use Hillis?

But again, I personally don't want Hillis included in the deal. I would rather see Bailey go then Hillis..

A bit on Sheffler, He is a great receiving TE when he is healthy. He has great hands and speed, not to mention he is one of, if not Cutler's favorite targets. I don't want to see him go either but once again, I'm not sure McDaniels knows how to work a receiving TE into his offense..

Not to rain on your parade, but you should notice that thread at the Broncos site is linked to this site at the bottom of this page. Which is why I said this is a complete rumor from the get go. That thread was started this morning on the Broncos site, then Warhourse brought it here, either to be funny, stir poo up, or he was dumb enough to believe it.

Either way, he was able to get a lot of posters on this site to bite the hook.

Although, he shouldn't be so proud. Sometimes, it doesn't take much for some here to get hooked, lined, and sinkered.
