Carolina and Denver in Trade Talks for Peppers......**RUMOR**

this should certainly be a no go. Jake doesn't throw to tight ends and we could easily get a solid fullback in the draft.

Cutler is not on the table but here's a scenario I would consider:

peppers and a fourth rounder for brandon Marshall and thirteenth overall pick

I could live with that if its a 2nd...

I would too, with the expectation that Hillis plays fullback.

I'm not one for buying into trade rumors, but that's one I could see taking. Improve two positions, and possibly three, for the price of one player. I'd do it.

that trade would be a lil better. but i say we keep our fourth and just throw in lucas

A friend inside the Broncos organization just sent me a text saying this rumor actually has some teeth. Apparently Brian Xanders has been on the phone with Hurney part of the morning. The hold up seems to be over players, not draft picks. The Panthers seem interested in plucking one of Denver's young WRs.

I'll update if I get anymore info

This is interesting due to the fact that because Peppers hasn't yet signed his franchise tender, trade talks MUST go through his agent Carl Carey and not the Panthers organization.

So unless Peppers secretly signed his tender, this probably isn't happening.

Get it right. The team can work on trades for Peppers but must have Peppers approval on who they talk too.

Marshall has been in trouble plenty before and is currently in trouble again. Looking at a possible leabue suspension upcoming. That ain't happening.

Charges was dropped so he might not get suspended. Still wouldnt take him but Royal is another thing.

I don't think the O needs too much either but I actually like that trade. Another thing to consider is Scheffler vs Graham. Daniels and Davidson both have a history with Graham and he is an EM EFFING road grading blocker @ TE. BUT...he left for Den because he wanted to be more of a receiving TE. Now, he has hands of stone so I did lol.

what, this isn't even remotely true. you sound like you're just making it up

squirrel is right, although he is not on our team we own Peppers rights for this year just by designating him as our franchise player, so we can negotiate with other teams all we want. to trade him he must first sign the tender, however typically what happens is they bring all the contracts to the table and do it in one go, so Peppers signs the franchise tender, then we trade players/draft picks, then Peppers signs a long-term deal with the new team.

Why do you guys want to get rid of a key cog in our amazing running game (Hoover) by replacing him with Hillis??? And to trade Peppers in order to make that happen? There is ONE player on the Broncos current roster that I would base a trade with Peppers around and that is Jay Cutler. If he's not in the mix then the Broncos better be giving up a stable of draft picks...not a damn fullback and a TE (who in our system you never know if he is better than Barnridge or Rosario). You guys way undervalue Peppers if you think this is a good trade...you think people are laughing at NE for trading away Cassel...we would be the JOKE of the NFL if we made that trade.

Think about the fact that since 2002 nobody in the league has more total sacks than Pep. He and Freeney are tied with 70.5 and John Abraham is close with about 67. And none of the other DEs or OLBs have near the FF, Pass deflections, and QB hurries that Pep has. I have said this since he came out and said he wanted a trade...In the right circumstances he is the most dominant defensive player in the league. There is nobody that can even touch his atleticism or versatility.

If we gave him up for ANY trade that didn't include a first round draft pick and multiple players/picks then we are getting SCREWED. Hillis, Scheffler and a draft pick my ass...If Hurney does that then IDC how much good he has done for us he should be fired on the spot.

The only reason this is being talked about here is because Warhorse is a Broncos fan and a thread on this topic was started this morning on the Broncos message board.

Stop it people, really.
