Carolina and Denver in Trade Talks for Peppers......**RUMOR**

Your TEs not being receiving threats hurt you guys last year. And Scheff can block too.

BRB guys!

Our TE's have the talent to be receiving threat's. Our QB or coaches one, either don't know how to use them or don't want to. It's always force it to Smith or Moose. The one game Rosario was heavily involved in our game plan he had the best game of his career, and a good day for any TE (against the chargers). In many ways Smith is kinda like a baby's blankee to our QB, when they have it they never want to be without and when they don't they find a way to do without.

I see absolutely no value in this trade. If we just let Peppers go we get the compensation 3rd round pick. This obviously sounds more like a fantasy trade. Trade a bunch of garbage to an uneducated person for a good player.

I'll pass. AT worst Peppers plays a season under Meeks.

Go Panthers

Unlike in fantasy football, even a player who doesn't have great stats can still contribute to the team heavily. Hoover last year really helped out our new found run game but most of the leagues fans probably doesn't even know who he is.

i agree 100% with u that players that dont have great stats can be very big contributers but i dont see the two player that are supposbly bein offered in this trade helpin us too much considering we have 3 TEs the coaching staff seems to like and hoover is coming off a great season...but im sure theres not much truth to all this anyway

Two firsts is the asking price from Hurney.

No offense, but a fullback and TE are not exactly at the top of the list in the need department for the Panthers.

The negotiations at the moment are happening (if they are happening) between the Broncos and Pepper's agent. If this is the rumored trade idea, it's coming from the Broncos Christmas list. The Panthers probably looked at it and moved it to the bathroom for recycling.

I think the Panthers MO has been well established in that they *want* to be a defense oriented team. Peppers is a big chip that they want to cash in and right now, they hold the cards. Two secondary offensive players doesn't even get you to the table.

I can see those players being put up as replacement for one of the two 1st Hurney is asking for but the pick ontop of those players would still have to be a 1st. With that said, I'm not sure if the Panthers would want players as a part of a Pepper's trade unless it was for someone like Suggs who is also a franchised type of talent.

This is basically my thinking. Nothing against Hillis or Scheffler, but those wouldn't be exciting additions to me. We already have a quality FB and two great RBs, so how would Hillis see the field? Scheffler would seem logical on the surface to an outsider, but fans that follow this team know that this team doesn't put much emphasis on the tight end position.

I don't agree that Hurney will only accept two first rounds picks as compensation though. I think he'd accept only a first rounder, maybe even a high second if a good player we needed were thrown in. But this particular trade scenario with Denver just doesn't do it for me at all.

This is Rumor and has no merit for even discussing this as well as all trade rumors for Peppers. The one and only reason these are rumors and nothing else is because the Panthers would be in so much trouble with the Players Accociation its not even funny. Do you guys realize how carefull Carolina needs to be untill he signs his paperwork. I dont thing the FO is willing to lose draft picks because they were found guilty of trade talks. Once Peppers signs his 1 year contract then all Rumors have a leg to stand on and not until then. So lets stop talking about him untill this happens.

The team can work out trade talks as long as Peppers is in agreement on the place they are trying to trade him.

If that is true that is a retarded trade. A TE (that will be a waste with Jake), a FB, and a 2nd round draft pick??? I will be pissed if Hurney goes from two 1st rounders to two players that will help us minimally and a 2nd round pick. That is just a joke...
