Im kinda excited to see Fua now. When he was drafted a good number of people were worried he would be undersized since he was only listed at 6'1 295 but seeing him in person he looks a whole hell of a lot bigger than that. Hopefully he can be a great clog.

Unfortunate news for both Ron and the team. I wish him the best. As for replacing him we may have to wait a bit for releases (unless there is some unexpected salary cap cuts): Aug 30th for the 75 man roster and Sep 3 for the 53 man roster. That's three preseason games a the majority of camp. I think we will need to get someone in before then.

1) Pat Williams (38/317) - old and may want to play for an immediate contender

2) Kris Jenkins (32/360) - supposedly retired, also doubt he would come back to Charlotte

3) Marcus Stroud (33/310) - was not a good fit in the 3-4

4) Jamal Williams (35/348) - Rivera should have familiarity with him

5) Gerard Warren (33/330) - Likely a rotational type of player

6) Ma'ake Kemoeatu (32/364) - Big and could provide a stop gap

7) Jimmy Kennedy (31/320) - Former first round, fairly good size

8) Martin Parker (23/303) - UDFA rookie waived by the Giants, it would depend on the injury

9) Justin Harrell (27/315) - Former first rounder of the Packers, struggled with injuries early

10) Clifton Ryan (27/324) - Former 5th round pick of the Rams, big guy

There are still some decent options at DT, unlike CB. If nothing else we have Fua, which is more than we could have said in '09 when Kemo went down.

I almost don't want to say it, but if this is the worst injury we have in camp I'll consider us lucky.

I say we immediately put him on IR and sign someone now, so that we can get him in the house and get him ready to play our system.

Don't know that we're back to square one. I'm very encouraged by reports on McClain's performance in camp. Think he'll be a good one.

Yes, they count. Top 51 salaries on the team count towards the cap.
