I've never been incredibly high on Gamble... Even when he was getting interceptions early in his career. Ints don't mean $hit, look at Nnamdi's career. I base my opinion on Gamble being repeatedly beat like a drum in the games I watch.

Gamble would be starting on nearly every team in the league, but I think he is on the downside of his career. He's not a flashy guy and he does get beat sometimes, but I think a lot of the times he was beat last year had to do in part with safety help. Could be wrong though, I honestly am not a secondary guy.

I concur. To me, last year at least half the time when Gamble was beat it looked like he was handing the WR to the S. Could be on Gamble or the S, don't know the play call so hard to actually say.

I never said he was the worst corner to ever play the game. I simply said hes not as good as everyone on this forum thinks he is. Mainly wanted to piss off the homers who can't stand any criticism towards their team without getting their panties in a bunch, even when its warranted.

Those stats don't argue in Gamble's favor either... Looks like he falls into the category of average. Good thing we gave him a 50 Mill deal.

In some categories he is in the top 10, others in the top 20, and others in the bottom 20. Depends how you define "average" I think.

Nnamdi is overrated, kthx. :/ Also, interceptions mean a lot, being able to catch a interception and still make sure the wide receiver you are covering never gets it are two important factors, Nnamdi has been good at dodging criticism because of his ability to bat down balls, etc. Would rather have several other CB's besides Nnambi to be honest, and there are other CB's I'd want over Gamble but Gamble is still a good CB.

Nmadi got enough INTs early nobody goes near him now - well, Jake did, but... anyway, Nmadi is not overrated, he's easily one of the best in the game at his position.

Why do u want to piss off homers? we are all Panthers fan. I'm not blind to Gambles mistakes but I think he is a good corner and the best corner we have on the team. Is he Revis? No, but few players are, CB is one of the toughest positions to play in the game. Corners get beat, it happens. When our defense is on the field 3 quarters of the game like last year and have to worry about the run game cause Nick Hayden is in at DT then it will happen more often.

I'm sure we will draft more CBs in the following years to replace Gamble as he gets older. The guy isn't a bum though, far far from it.
