Corvey Irvin : "Comeback Kid"

Must admit I had about forgotten about him. Reed's got a write up.

His name: Corvey Irvin.

You may remember him as being Carolina’s third-round pick in 2009, the kid who never panned out. Many wrote him off as a bust, and understandably so, after the Panthers cut him from the 53-man roster last August.

Well, hold everything.

Irvin is back.

I guess that's encouraging. Is Hayden working with the 1s? If not. I have no idea why we resigned him.

Hayden must have some serious dirt on someone in the organization, he needs to go away ASAP.

Another reason to pull for Corvey Irvin this off-season...hopefully he can take Hayden's roster spot.

This is some of the best news out of camp honestly. If Irvin could be a legitimate starter along with Ron Edwards and have depth with McClain and Fua, we might actually have a respectable group at DT.

Now, if we can just do something about CB... Only glaring hole left on the roster

If you follow Charles Johnson on twitter he had mentioned Irvin several times over the past few months. Both went to UGA and had been working out together.

I figured he was camp fodder and then probably done for good at final cuts. There really is a lot to be hopeful for regarding the Panthers.

This year may not be the best record wise, but I will be content as long as we are competitive and show improvement. Next year I want the playoffs.
