I realize how stupid this is, but I just can't take them seriously. Yes, I know they won the SB recently, but I think I'll always think of N.O. as a Detroit-like team. Like, it's cute when they win...not intimidating.

I mean no disrespect to you or any of your fellow fans, but are you guys aware of your history? You speak as if you have a history of dominance like the 49ers of old, the Steelers, or the Cowboys of the 90s. Your overall record since 1995 = 119 - 137, with no SB wins. You've had 4 winning seasons, none of them back to back. But you can't take us seriously? It's cute when we win?

1995 - 7-9

1996 -12-4

1997 - 7-9

1998 - 4-12

1999 - 8-8

2000 - 7-9

2001 - 1-15

2002 - 7-9

2003 - 11-5

2004 - 7-9

2005 - 11-5

2006 - 8-8

2007 -7-9

2008 - 12-4

2009 - 8-8

2010 - 2-14

To be honest, if you look at the history of all 4 teams in the NFCS, none of us should be talking about each other's history - collectively, we've been pretty terrible overall until this past decade, and even then, we continue to swap division winners.

BTW - this dominance over the Saints.... your team leads the series 17-15.

Finally, many of us Saints fans have long tired of the Katrina angle forced upon everyone by the media - but they (the media) continue to perpetuate that, so....

LOL @ this guy.

Thanks for the chuckle bro

No, lol @ you.....bro.

I'm still in shock reading this thread. Can't believe Panthers fans think we have no rival. When we play the Panthers and Bucs it gets heated. But the Falcons have always been our true "rival."

Honestly, I didn't know the Panthers had a rival. I know there were a few games back in the early 2000's when Vick was a Falcon, but this organization hasn't existed long enough to have a true enemy. Saints-Falcons on the other hand have been on MNF consistently.

What an epic history of games the Panthers and Bucs have had playing against one another.:smilielol5:

This shows how this franchise has only been around since 1995. The childlike ignorance in this thread is....whoa!!!!

All you have to do is ask any fan of the Falcons that been around more than 10 years (I know...hard to find) and they will tell you who the Falcons biggest rival is. It ain't the Bucs. It ain't the Panthers.

Do the same with any Saints fan. Just go to each team's message board and it's readily apparent.

The truth is, nobody gives two craps about the Panthers. Still got that expansion flavor with those 90s uniforms. Change the things for Pete's sake. Nobody at all cares about when the Panthers play the Bucs or Falcons. Everybody from Georgia to the Florida panhandle to Alabama/Mississippi/SE Louisiana knows about the Saints/Falcons. Busloads of fans travel twice a year for the games.

I also don't get the talk about the Saints being the doormat of the NFCS. Check the standings since 2002. That's nonsense.

Yeah, biggest and oldest NFCW/NFCS rivalry is Saints/Falcons and it's NOT close at all. Ask Monday Night Football.

**Mothergrabber, nobody from NOLA complains about a hard life. It's quite the contrary, but you know nothing of course.

Ladies and gentlemen, the pinnacle of mastery regarding the English language by a troll who goes by the name of Saintdogg...

Our deepest apologies to you wise oracle who obviously has way more perspective on football than we do.

Just remember, you are the one trolling Panther message boards.

No one here cares about the Saints as a team or a city really- that is the whole point.

Congratuations on your very recent success- the entire point of this thread is not to bash the Saints. It is just as a fan base, we really don't care about a rivalry between the Saints the way we do with the Atlanta or Tampa, who actually represent peer cities to Charlotte.

That is all. No one hates New Orleans, but I think we are all apathetic at this point about the whole "Underdog Katrina" thing. It's played out.

Enjoy your Super Bowl win and Drew Brees. When he is gone, the Saints will fade unto the same oblivion the city of New Orleans is destined for.

Sorry, the truth hurts. So get all your trolling comments about the Panthers sucking, etc. in right now.

WE DON'T CARE ABOUT THE SAINTS- That must hurt you more than your trolling comments hurt us if you are posting here

Lol. You turning this into a pi$$ing contest now? I simply corrected all the wrongs in this thread that the Saints have no rival, when it's easily apparent and easy to find out that it's Saints/Falcons mutually from both franchises. Yes, it will be broadcast on MNF yet again.

It's not new. It didn't begin in 2006. It didn't start when Drew Brees arrived. It goes back to probably when you weren't even born yet. That is all. Also, the Saints had a stretch in the late 80s/early 90s that the Panthers have yet to match and haven't even come close to. So your diatribe about the Saints only having "recent success" is just more childlike ignorance.

I don't give two craps..again... if you or Panther fans dont care for the Saints or the city of New Orleans (always love the jabs at the city in a football discussion ). It's like caring if some strange 5 year old hates or doesn't like you. What adult would care about that?

Just giving you kids some history that apparently you are not aware of made obvious in this ridiculous thread. Take it or leave it.

Lol what's funny is that outside the slum infested realm of OMG SAINTS VS FALCONS.. is that no one gives a poo. Both cities have second rate fans, and second rate people. Between the Swamp people and rappers I'm sure the Saints vs Falcons is the highlight of their lives, but the reality is that both franchises are crap so I guess in a way they even each other out.

And we're not changing the uniforms because we got it right the first time. Thanks for visiting.

I have never once posted on a Saints message board. I am a Panthers fan. I leave the Saints discussions for those who actually care about the team. If I trolled a Saints board, I would expect a backlash. I feel confident you wouldn't post here if you didn't want the attention.

Regarding your impression that the Saints were relevant before 5 years ago, they certainly may have been locally but not on the national stage. That is truth. The Saints represent one of the smallest markets in the US.

Hey, I'm not knocking that. No one really knows anything about the Panthers nationally except the 2003 SB run, and we have been the NFC Conference Championship 3 times.

So, on a local level, I feel like we have been more than a one-trick pony. But nationally, that is not the case. Just b/c it is your history doesn't make it everyone else's.

But beyond that, I would not go on a Saints message board and try to correct a Saint fan's "history" or even the atrocious grammar that is a rampant by-product of the Louisiana/Mississippi school systems. It's not my place, no matter how misguided they may be. I've been to New Orleans several times and I don't know that there is much to get excited about other than the Saints. Sorry if you don't agree, but it's a wretched, poor place except for right around downtown and the few rich areas that could rebuild. Demographics don't lie.

This is a discussion regarding rivalries for the Panthers. We don't care about the rivalry with NO the way we do ATL or TB. And yes, it always goes beyond just the team and to the city. Teams represent cities/areas, and how could anyone have a true rivalry with a dying city like New Orleans. It's just sad.

Now please go do something productive and post about your team in the appropriate forum. You will find many assenting voices there
