Typo Zod? You said we were 1-15, we were 2-14 I believe. ^^

*goes back to reading*

Better than Ed Werder on Spirts Center...

He said the Panthers were 2-15.

I mean I know we sucked, but damn... U have to give us an extra loss? Guess He figured that if we would have played during our bye week we would have lost??

I think the leadership will be there on defense with Beason.

Offense is another story. Cam appears to be too relaxed and goofing around. I think the success he had at Auburn has him a little over confident. It will be a rude awakening from him once he is on the field with real NFL defenses.

Cam is young...he does not know what he does not know.

Should have had someone proofread it.

I'm really surprised by the atmosphere and disappointed, however this is Rivera's first camp so I'll wait to see the results before I draw any conclusions.

word has always been Fox ran a tougher camp than most teams.....maybe Rivera is a look at what other teams atmospheres are like.

but I agree, from what Zod says.....that doesn't excite me.

While I agree with the premise of this, confidence, even over confidence is not mutually exclusive with leadership.

and, I am like you, and I may be playing a little devils advocate, I would rather him to seem more Brady, Manning, business-like, but if that not his natural way, would it be better for him to fake it? One could argue that the loose, confident feel could be what be needed at this moment. Also, his confidence can rub off on the other player, and can make them believe they are better than they are, such as last season at Auburn.

With that said, taking last season into account, the kid led his team down 24-0 points on the road to a rival, and defending national champions, these are the situations where his confidence makes the difference.

What he did last year in college is complete irrelevant. There are tons of guys who delivered in college an dcould not do it in the NFL. Whole different game.

I see too much gunslinger in Cam right now. I don't want Jimmy's reluctance to try and make a play. However, Cam is way to cavalier with the ball right now. If he plays that way in the regular season, he will be an interception throwing machine.

I was at camp yesterday and that's the first thing I noticed. Things were loose (a little too loose for my liking) and there seemed to be a lot of that walking around. Definitely different from a John Fox camp.

That being said, I have a feeling Rivera will tighten things up, and better yet guys like Smitty and Beason will tighten them up. I'm an old school type coach (basketball), but even I realize these are grown men and sometimes a little freedom goes a long way.

Besides, these guys are professionals and if getting whipped 14 times last year doesn't make them want to go out and play hard and execute, we should ship off the whole darn lot.

It wasn't too far in the distant past when we were a 12 win team, and we've got a lot of those core guys still around. If QB play is serviceable, my biggest concern is CB (and we look really bad at CB right now).

8-8. Place your bets with Vegas now.

Well, I don't mean from a stats or a record prespective . I am making the point that his personality has worked for his teams, and has not negatively impacted their play.

He will throw interceptions, just like Manning did, just like Freeman did, and just like Jamarcus Russel, the real test isn't limiting his interceptions, the test is learning from his mistakes.

He will never know his limits, if he doesn't push them. Just like we will never know how good Clausen can be until he takes some chances.
