Great (Short) Article on Armanti - Rivera: We’ll find places to put him on the field

Good article, I will still remain cautiously however.

On a separate note: There is no way you can tell me coaches didn't have contact with players during the lockout, 2nd hand or otherwise. That article is great proof. You know Rivera pretty much wants to say " Yea, we did a good job coaching him up this off season"

once again i cant help but lol at the idiots who mercilessly crucified hurney over not getting production out of a first year project player

if he blows up and ends up being a pro-bowler the mods should go back and find out who the biggest loudmouths were and permanently change their avatars to really gay stuff

It was an idiotic pick any way you look at it....maybe the dumbest move in the whole draft.

Even IF he becomes a pro bowl player.

We brought AE in to play the slot and pr because he had a great burst of speed when he shot out of the pocket, and once he was in the open field he made a lot of guys miss with shiftiness and change of direction. If what he did at the college level is not translating to the pro level, then AE will be cut at the end of his rookie contract. Futhermore, Hurney, coming off his Matt Moore and Everett Brown flops, should have his leash tightened. No more trading high future picks for risky boom or bust prospects.

That being said, AE has looked like a decent WR based on what little I've seen of him at the pro level. We'll all know more as the season progresses, but I'm really hoping he's not a bust.

If it's not saintJ, it's another crappy saint fan stinking up our board with horsepoo. Is it too late to give Lousianna back to the French?

If you can't take off the glasses and understand that you could have had Edwards a couple of rounds later, without giving up a second round pick, then you are beyond help.

It was a bad pick. It's just the facts. No matter what happens in the future, hurney made a bad decision.

Until week 1 of the regular season, anyone can look good and "be in the mix" for any spot. I like Armanti and want to see him really show what he can do, but like just about every player, it won't matter a thing until that first regular season whistle blows.

Best situation is that we have our second Smitty as he was in year 2 of his career. Worst case situation, he doesn't make the team. Weirdest case scenario, we have a pint-sized version of Cam Newton that doesn't take a QB slot.

And pencil-like legs worked well for Deion Sanders.

I agree.

Whether he becomes a solid receiver or not doesn't cover up the fact that there was no value in that trade. Wait a round or two, I could almost guarantee he would have been there. Not a knock on Armanti.

Considering armanti has alot of fans from his college career, it was more of a money pick than a talent pick, even though personally i think Armanti will shape up to be a good NFL player, i watched him in college and hes sneaky fast i can't wait to watch him play this year.
