Should Teams Put No Motocycles Allowed In Players Contracts?

I'm kind of on the fence. As a former rider who's hit the pavement a few times I know the joy and danger that comes along with riding.

I'd say the clause should require the use of all safety equipment. So many people don't walk away from accidents just because they refused to spend money on things like helmets, jackets, good pants and boots.

This should be applied to any activity as well. Like if your gonna walk around in Lightning storms you better have some rubber boots on.

This.

I'm gonna go out on a limb & say that the $3,000 I spent on safety gear for my bike put a much bigger dent in my finances than it would put in theirs.

I agree with Klong, there are a number of things to consider when it comes to safe riding, but your equipment is a huge part of that, along with where you are choosing to ride, and not riding above your limits (going too fast). Personally, I wont even ride a half mile to the gas station without my jacket, pants, boots, gloves, the whole shebang.

I dont understand the guys I see around town in sneakers and shorts, youre almost asking for bad things to happen.
