What would it take for Smith to get into the HOF?

It would take more than a great QB in the past. For a receiver to get into the HOF, it takes incredible stats.

I mean, look at Cris Carter: 130 TDs, 1,100 receptions, 13,800+ yards, x8 Pro Bowl, x2 First Team All-Pro.

Andre Reed: 950 receptions, 87 TDs, 4 Super Bowl appearances, 13,000+ yards, x7 Pro Bowl.

Neither of them are in the HOF.

Chris Carter too. Smitty has zero chance of making it even if he had 3 good years his body of work doesnt help. Randy Moss is the same he will never make it due to his work ethic and attitude. Not saying Smitty had a bad work ethic. HOF voters wont vote for someone who doesnt have a full body of work.

Moss is a lock for the hall, poor work ethic or no. Probably on the 1st ballot.

I love Smitty as much as anyone, but the numbers just aren't there. Its not gonna happen. If he would've had a guy like Manning throwing him the ball his entire career we're probably looking at a 1st ballot HOF-er. The fact is, in 20 years, only true Carolina Panthers fans will give him the credit he deserves.

No way. We are talking about reporters doing the voting. They wont vote him in.

Moss has 153 td's so far. Unless I'm mistaken, he is #2 all time behind Rice. He is going to get in.

Favre is a d*ck too and he will get in. How about LT? Did they keep him out?

And yes, I think Moss will play this year.

There's actually be a debate on all week on all the sports channel about whether Moss will get in first ballot or not. Most of the sports writers (who have votes) say that he won't get in first ballot, just to prove a point.
