No way.

We're a run first team that rarely throws to anyone other than Smith. Not to mention Manning's not getting any younger.

Jake really isn't a young buck himself. If you guys got Peyton Manning that equals a superbowl. He can carry bad defenses and yours wouldn't be THAT bad. Any SANE gm would pull the trigger on that one...not to mention Peyton still has ATLEAST 3 ELITE years left in him.

I was being sarcastic, commenting on how every player in the NFL is suddenly on our wish list in the offseason...

i think fans just want to see some movement.. which is pretty stupid IMO..

its like they just want the FO to sign someone just becus they are available..

but we do need to get busy and move Pep or make a statement that we decide to keep him..

Not to mention only 5 qbs taken with the first overall pick have ever won a superbowl...2 of them are Mannings.

I don't disagree, I just don't think we need any top-flight free agents, which is what others think we need every year...

What's the deal here?

Leftover Ohio State-Michigan anger, though not so much based in the schools as the fact that they actually faced each other in college.

The last time we played the Browns, Edwards told the media that he was essentially going to abuse Gamble "like he did in college". Gamble kept quiet (as good Panthers do) but Edwards was confident he'd have a big day.

For the record, he didn't.

It may not be deeply personal, mind you. And putting them on the same team might ease the tension (though having them face each other in practice might bring it back up).

Regardless, this isn't something I'd see happening.
