I saw this coming. I still believe Gettis gets the number 2. I think Naanee ends up beating lafell for the slot.

You do know that slot is a position on the filed not necessarily a position on the depth chart?

Slot receivers doesn't mean you listed third on the depth chart. You'll see Smith lineup up in that position fairly often too.

Chud worked with Legedu in San Diego

Chud worked with Olsen, Shockey in college

LaFell, Armanti, Gettis were picked by Hurney before Chud was in the picture.

Seems like a lot of people are missing the big picture in this thread. Hurney makes the draft picks, but Chud/Rivera plays who they want to play. Legedu could end up with a big role on this team.

What I meant was that no one knows whether Naane is brought in for #4-5 or if Chud likes the guy and believes he can be a #2.

Yeah but to say he was "involved" in that play is an exaggeration. It could have been anyone over there.

right now it sounds like from some of the plays he's making that Naanee is making quite a case for that coveted no.2 wide receiver spot while Gettis is out with a strained hammy

Love the signing.

Solid special teammer that has some potential as a WR becauses he knows the offense.

For a team installing a new offense without the benefit of OTA it places a premium on scheme familiarity to help teach the other players on offense but more importantly to help teach Cam.

Just a heads up for people, Legedu is listed as wearing #6 on the team website. So nobody will have to make a thread Sat night asking who #6 is.

Watching him out here in San Diego the last few years, I think he'll fit in nicely. I suspect he'd still be a Charger if not for their GM's near zero-tolerance policy for stuff like his drunken "Don't you know who I am?" charade.

So he has the physical tools to dominate this position, hopefully he does just that.

this is an underrated signing. the bigger moves are clear, but this one could end up being a great payoff. Naane has played under Rivera and wasnt a bad WR in San Diego.

That kind of speed opposite Smitty will do wonders to make use of Chud's coveted TE's.
