Panthers sign WR Legedu Naane

Diehard charger fan here. You guys got a player. Legadu is fun to watch, is very versatile great in the slot. Catches everything over the middle. Only thing I saw was that even though he's fairly tall he couldn't outmuscle and win the jumpballs that rivers threw to him like Malcom and Vincent Jackson. Chargers wanted to use him as an hback/te/wr his first two years but last year was asked to do too much as the #2 receiver. He's no #2. Fairly good blocker. Solid special teamer and qb'd our version of the wildcat. San Diego claims they don't like trouble makers on the team and his arrest sealed his fate. He's probably a better fit than Floyd who is pretty one dimensional. Go route and jump balls. Floyd also got injured a ton and is more expensive. Be happy with legadu. Don't follow Carolina football but now with Michael turner, drew brees, Darren sproles and legadu all in the NFC south maybe I'll catch a few games. Good luck panthers.

I'm surprised. Naane played decent last year in SD, but honestly I think he's on the same level as Gettis and Lafell right now.

Then by that logic, he's slightly ahead of those two. He's familiar with the system.

Of course an outstanding QB like Rivers makes all receivers look better as well. Hopefully Naane finds a spot on the roster.

Details muddy. In Indy he was drunk stumbled onto a homicide scene was told to clear the area, wouldn't. Then resisted arrest allegedly.

I've personally never seen him play, in fact I don't remember watching any of the Chargers WR's last year. I think I watched one or two games of the team anyways, not enough to know how good he is. Will be watching him during preseason, and will be interesting to see where he is playing on the roster.
