I like it put some pressure on the guys to win.

When asked Thursday what his realistic expectations are for the Panthers this season, Rivera first said he wants his team to compete and play hard, but then went on to say, “I’m optimistic about who we are and who we can become. Would I like to win them all? Absolutely. Do I think we can win 10? Yes. I think we can win 10.”

from that same article, tho...

“I think we can win 10, 11, nine, eight, I’m not sure. To put a number out would be unfair to our guys. But I will say the one thing I want more than anything else is to play hard because I think that gives you chance to win.”
rivera's such a homer.:willy_nilly:

Nobody expects the lowly team in the NFL to turn it around the next season..but it seems to always happen nowadays for teams that are not the Lions or Raiders(Falcons,Bucs, Dolphins)

yea especially with the NFC South, we have a trend of having teams go from 4th to 1st. I'm hoping it stays true for this year!

I like it. Again, completely different then the type of response you would get from Fox. The big difference here is sincerity. Rivera likes what he sees in this team or else he wouldn't be so confident in saying 10 wins is doable. I cannot wait to surprise some people. Hopefully our mantra is "Us against the world," because that is what it is.

    • Honestly Bryce is a conundrum right now I'm not really sure what we should do with him but I am content on him being the quarterback number one going into next season. I think we should allow him the chance to play out the season to prove that he's the quarterback he can be going into next season.  I would not waste a high draft pick on a quarterback because I'm not sure anyone in this up and coming class is as good or has the ceiling that he had with that said I wouldn't throw away the future I would bring in someone like Justin Fields to have him looking over his shoulder and give us a plan b if everything doesn't go right on a one-year deal. I think the priority right now if tepper wants to make a big splash is find a way to get Travis Hunter that would be option 1AA because he helps with both sides of the field either way whatever you need defense or offense. Make that happen and then go mostly defense the rest of the way and we're cooking.
    • Move on from what?   Let me guess we gatekeeping on who we can and can't appreciate?   Next time I will just make a Kuechly appreciation thread lmao
