I really hope we can find a way to shoehorn Barnbridge onto the roster.

I wonder if him LS'ing yesterday had to do with that.

I more or less agree with yours. I'd add Barnidge and drop Hartstock though. Hopefully Hayden finally gets the boot....I know it's merely wishful thinking. Not certain Hogan goes to IR, I'd guess PUP for 6 weeks into the regular season.

I'd like to see Barnidge make it as well, but I kind of doubt it. We need at least one solid blocking TE and Hartstock fills that role. Barnidge is a receiver more than a blocker and we already have two receiving TE's.

Honestly, it wouldn't shock me to see us keep four TE's if Barnidge shows well in camp.

I also think we're going to be a whole lot better at DT than most people think. I really like what I'm hearing about Terrell McClain. Sound like a beast in the making so far. Once we get Ron Edwards in the mix, Johnson on the field, and Hardy healthy - along with our LB's - I think our front 7 will be nasty.

Hopefully it'll make up for our CB situation somewhat. Even if we don't add a corner before the season, if we can hold on this year and get one in the 1st next year - or sign a quality FA - our defense could be one of the best. I expect us to be damn good this year on D anyway.

From what I saw, Barnidge has looked pretty good. I think you can pencil him in as the LS and as the fourth TE on the team and take J.J Jansen off. I also think that one of the ST WR's will end up making the team.

Yea, I think they are giving him time at LS so they can cut JJ. Possibly to make room for a ST gunner at the WR spot or another player somewhere else.

Anyone seen how Robert McClain has been looking lately?? I'm a huge UConn fan, and I was psyched when we drafted him. Does he have a shot at the nickel, or is he solely ST??

McClain and Stanford got some playing time last year on defense, if I recall correctly.

Barely. I remember each of them making at least one good play, and I remember Stanford getting manhandled more than once, and McClain getting burned once.

Yea, when they were in, it wasn't pretty. I think it was all toward the end of the year after Gamble pissed Fox off.

He's looked ok so far, he had that INT on Clausen the other practice. I think he's got a chance to be in play for the Nickel if they don't bring anyone else in. If the team brings someone in then he's probably going to be the 4th or 5th corner just by default.

Gamble/ FA pickup?/ Captn/ Hogan/ McClain/ Stanford

Also don't be surprised if Wilson comes in a blows it up and steals the CB2 or Nickel spot away from someone else.
