QB Conspiracy Theory....

...in a good and bad way. He can make more throws but he missed a ton more yesterday. Hopefully we see 3-4 games out of him this year that let us know he's the guy long-term.

not really, Cam is a rookie who completed 3 days of camp....and had a large chunk of his offseason taken away from him. Yet, most reports so overall he still look slightly ahead or on pace w/ Clausen.

Cam is also being asked or is simply willing to work on all his throws......Clausen is still just looking or being told to go short.

Not sure how people don't like what is being reported about Cam.....

Teams with good coaching, Clausen can be as good as Jake Delhomme. He has potential to at least be okay.

Delhomme's intangibles and leadership were off the charts......Clausen has never shown anything indicating he will transition in that in this league.

Jake also played the game vastly differently....

Jake had career prior to Tommy John most drafted QB will never realitsically ever come close to matching.

And additionally Delhomme had a Favre-esque gunslinger mentality whereas Clausen is more like a guy that can only work with the right system. Which seems to be the issue and reason people think we'll get rid of him.

I think we will make one more big move and it will require Mike Brown coming to his senses.

Okay so how many and what teams have a WCO? Lets list them out and rate the chances they would want JC.

not sure if there is a pure WCO anymore.

pretty sure seattle is running it and their QB situation is essentially crap. they've got tavarius throwing to sidney rice and tjax is the only QB on the roster with a good grasp on the WCO. that is a possibility.

vikings are running it, much of the reason they brought in mcnabb. don't think this is a real possibility, though.

eagles pretty much gave it up and are running a spread since it fits vick better. wasn't a chance he would go there, though.

san fran will be running it. harbaugh is a WCO guy as well. they've got alex smith and kaepernick(?). they might be interested. depends on harbaugh trying to get luck next year and if harbaugh really did intentionally ignore clausen after that stanford/ND game. pretty safe to say that the QB situation this year is ugly.

washington would be the most likely destination. they run a WCO. they have a real sucky QB situation. they are known for overpaying for overrated talent. of course they could be battling the 49ers for luck this year.

i think the packers are the only other team who run the WCO. they've got a lot of cap space but i don't really see the need for clausen even as a backup there.

are there any other teams running it?

I think the Washington QB situation is one of the biggest storylines that nobody is paying attention to in the media so far. John Beck vs. Rex Grossman for the starting gig is an awesomely terrible battle, but Shanahan seems cool going into the season with Beck under center.

Not sure if they're going to take another flier anytime soon after getting bled by the Haynesworth and McNabb deals, but I can't think of many destinations besides D.C. and San Fran that would be seriously eyeing Clausen... Until someone gets hurt in a preseason game, that is

I think yall need to give up this Asante talk. Rivera already said we weren't interested, and I think this most likely stems from Asante and McDermott's relationship back in philly, or that is what philly fans have said. I do not want a disgruntled starter on my team, and he would probably be more disgruntled about coming to a team that was 2-14 a year ago. (I know, we are winning the superbowl this year, but a lot of people don't see this happening. Asante may be included in that bunch. So how would you feel if you were traded from a playoff team, to a team that went 2-14 a year ago?)
