Fan experience at BoA

dude I love that song....u will see me dancing before every game to it :)

and don't forget dancing for diamonds and the aquafina contest!!

I won the US Airways giveaway a couple yrs ago, that was pretty awesome

If you ever see me at a game I'm the only person standing up in section 336 :D Too many old farts and families haha

@Kong: I think we are still a younger fan base because we gained a lot of fans in 03-05. Having seat licences since Clemson, I say we'll have enough weapons allowing for a helluva lot more big plays and reasons to stand up. Its all about the energy. Everything from the music to the fans themselves will get better.

I'm thinking things will be different this year

Here's something else they could do... I remember being at a Skins game years ago and when they wanted the fans to get loud they would show Lavar Arrington on the big screen holding his hand up to his ear (it was pre-taped, because he was on the field) and that was very effective, he would do it once and then shake his head, then do it again, etc.

Beason or Smitty would get a great response with that kind of thing.

I'd say pretaping them starting a chant for the fans to follow would be cool. Not sure what the chant would be. Pretaping the instructions too would be cool. Offensive players saying "quiet please" and defensive ones telling us to get loud.

It could be better, but it's not that bad of a fan experience at BoA. I always sit in the cheaper, upper level seats, and up there it seems like the fans are always rowdy. We go ham up there lol. My only complaint would be the music that's played. Need to get some more of that music that gets you hype

I also agree with Catman on putting a Beason or Smitty on the loudscreen to get the crowd hype. Sh*t, you could even put Cam up on the screen telling the folks to get loud.

I spend my good money on my seats, I can damn well wear what I want, yell or not, clap or not, stand or not.

You don't have to be drunk and obnoxious to be a real football fan.

(All that being said, I stand and scream and yell at all the appropriate times and am as rowdy as they come ... just not in a drunk, obnoxious way.)

Oh, and I'm one of those "old fart" PSL owners who bought in the first wave.

EASY! You took my post too literally. What I meant by the clothing is that, by and large, from personal experiences of my own and others that I know, the people wearing the specific clothing I mentioned are the stuffy, "sit down and shut up" types that ruin some people's experiences. You can do what you want, you are correct. However, nobody has the right to tell anybody, AT A FREAKIN' FOOTBALL GAME, to sit or not yell.

I can't stand the belligerently drunk either. I get a little lit. Just enough to not give a damn so I don't get stressed. But being so drunk that you can hardly make it up the steps and you're being overly obnoxious, that can be annoying. I take it all in good fun and laugh with those people, because, by and large, they mean no harm. They just want to have a good time as well.

Bottom line, if you aint yelling and getting rowdy some and if you're telling people to calm down while we're in a big 3rd down situation, you need to get the fug out.

The funnest thing that ever happened to me at a game was before the AZ playoff game Rick Flair was there and the whole crowd went "whooooo"

I remember that. It was awesome. And, IIRC, Darius Rucker did the anthem. People erupted for him too. Though, that could be more due to the fact that everybody was so jacked up for that game. I remember walking to the stadium and passing an entire parking deck full of mostly AZ fans. They were getting in on it, yelling at us. It was a good time. Probably the best football experience of my life...until our 3rd possession on. Then...

Seriously, something like this. Maybe not necessarily the same song (although I'm all for it), but definitely something like it (just with whoever we have on the video needs to be a little more intense about it). Check out how the players respond to it on the sideline:
