Fan experience at BoA

lightsout

Recommended Posts

We all know, except for the couple games here and there, that our home games usually aren't the best in terms of crowd involvement and noise. What do you expect this season? More of the same? A little turn around? A huge difference?

I'm expecting, if Cam starts or gets in for certain packages at least, that it will be a much more exciting, loud environment. The fan base is clearly energized (7,000 at the first practice shows that) and assuming he did well, it would only get louder and more intense. Plus, with all that swag, our fans in the stadium would just blow up. If Jimmy starts, I expect the fans to forgive him, give him a clean slate. We did it for Jake (may have been some boos, but you couldn't really hear them...until the picks came), we should do it for Clausen. I don't expect Clausen to start, but I digress.

Also, what would you like to see added? I usually don't go up to the stadium when the players arrive, but I heard you can catch them off the bus and get pretty close. Maybe with Cam here, and if Rivera and Co. are cool with it, the "Panther Walk" can become something that is seen by all and something to get the fans fired up. Have people there to get the player's stuff so they can just make the walk in greeting fans and soaking in the love. Just a thought (if this isn't already an occurrence).

Any thoughts or suggestions on how the game day experience is gonna be?

i'm going to live on a diet of rice and water for a week before the game, and then gorge myself with spicy enchaladas and wings and endless beers, and then i'm going to methodically cropdust every row of opposing fans i see, and THAT will be their fan experience.

as for everyone else, i'm just gonna yell my ass off on third downs and watch cam blow it up :D

Better and continuous music.

No ejections for cheering.

Limit all the damn advertising and show replays and highlights.

Agreed. One thing that bugged me when I was at the Arizona playoff game was the guys behind me were REALLY drunk. They were loud and cheering, complaining, just like all of us were. But there were some stuffy people to our right and below us that just kept giving them and us the stink eye. Now, the people behind me and the people I was with were cussing a little, but there were no kids in the immediate area that could hear, and they were not the only ones cussing. These stuffy a-holes don't ask them to tone it down. No, instead they call security and all 3 of these fans get taken out of the stadium.

I don't get it.

The advertising does get old. And better music is a must. Tired of hearing music that just don't belong at a football game.

I had some dumb b*tch tell me at a game one time that I could only sit up here if I behaved. I laughed in her face and chugged my icehouse.

As bad as it may sound, we need to try to get those people out. I mean, if she said it jokingly, that's cool. But if she was serious and she was that type of fan that sits the whole game and does a golf clap, she needs to go. Get the people who sit anywhere but the press box while wearing dress pants, dress shoes, and a shirt and tie out of there so real football fans can sit there. I'd rather have the opposing team's fans in those seats. At least they will make SOME sort of noise and won't complain over BS.

If you go to a football game and you're not loud, rowdy, and ready to roll for 3 hours, you need to reconsider how you spend your Sundays.

Some (probably most) here probably hate country music, but the chorus from this song is the type of thing we need playing at games. More songs that relate to the team or the game or at least have the intensity required for football.

Quick note about the following artist. I went to his concert down in Wilmington a few weeks back and there was an after-party at City Limits Saloon where I saw him at the bar. Basically had a beer with him and talked football. From SC and a Panthers fan. Not a bad 5 minute chat.

I hate that fuging song. Play-some Eminem 'not afraid' or something that will get the team and the crowd going. Hopefully someone will tell Morrison this.

As I said, I don't expect everybody to love it, but it is better than hearing Black Eyed Peas pre-game. The guys who run the music know they can't please everybody, but they need to reassess the music. Base it on the team and the game. Not on what the kids will like or what is hot on the radio.
