Taharqa in Spartanburg

First off, I want to send a special F U to the SC highway patrol. Dickheads pulled me over FOR NO REASON (I was not given a citation) and caused me to miss the first part of camp. The racial profiling bullshit in SC has got to stop. Dudes sicked the K-9 on me and all that like Im some drug kingpin. Im standing there with a Panthers hat on and Panthers shirt on and the dumbass cop asks me "what are you doing here in town?" "do you have drugs in your car?", Im like "uhhh Im going to the Panthers training camp". After that they tore thru my car and trunk searching for anything to lock me up over and found nathan. Dudes just knew I was lying thru my teeth when I told em I aint coming to bring no trouble to your state, I just want to watch my favorite team do their thing in camp. I told the cops straight up, while you f**king with me, the REAL dopeman is probably riding by with 10 bricks in his car laughing at your shitty police work. DUMMIES!

Now as far camp, I had a great experience when I got there. Got a chance to chop it up with some other Panther diehards and got some good pics on. I liked what I saw from #89 and Armanti as far as our receivers. I didnt pay a lot of attention to defense, but what I say of our offense I liked. Clearly, Cam is the best QB on our roster and he made the throws to prove it. There was one pass he aired out to #89 in double coverage and it landed right on the money for an easy TD. Smitty got crunk as hell after that catch and people were yelling and screaming. If we can see more of that in the season its gonna be something special. Here's some pics I took of camp for those who couldnt make it....

    • Agreed on the last part. They can’t afford to lose all these games with Martin and Perets.
    • Yes.  And this converts directly to confidence.  Does the coach have confidence to call a deep dig or seam route?  Does Bryce have confidence in his ability to be the Alpha?  Do his teammates have confidence.  About film--when I see Cam Newton's pre-snap confidence vs. Bryce's, it is night and day.   Film--tells you if the WRs are open (why l love watching the Replay telecasts from the end zone cameras--you can see it.  I have seen 2 WRs open and Bryce's eyes are on the outlet WR or the pass rush. )  You can see progressions, and he has improved a bit--but he is very quick to rush through 1 and 2 and checkdown--that is a lack of confidence in his ability to read the defense.  I had a former NFL TE (Deems Maye) who played QB in high school (not sure about college) tell me that the best QBs read the defense by knowing where everyone will be when the ball is to arrive--not where they are.  I think his QB at the time was Humphries.  He said that Humphries would throw the ball into coverage before the cuts etc.  because he understood DB momentum, zone areas, etc.  and he could just see it.  Said so when people say nobody was open, they are usually right because nobody should be "open" when the QB has the ball--when the ball arrives, everyone should be open.  He said Humphries was never "great" but his skills were limited--from a small school--but his ability to read a defense made him never give up on a route.
    • People here get mad when I tell them I prefer Miracle Whip over Dukes
