If Clausen starts and does well, will you boo him anyway?

I didn't want to draft either QB, but I want to win.

Whoever gives us the best chance to win and whomever Hurney decides to have on this roster will always have my full support as long as they're still doing their part.

Winning and doing it the right way is what matters to me, the rest is just details.

I still and always will blame Fox for Clausen's lack of improvement. Not that I was really expecting much to begin with, but he is a Panther. Same goes for Cam this season. I was on the fence about drafting him, but he is a Panther now, so he gets my support.

How the hell do you learn anything sitting on the sidelines?

He might learn what not to do if Clausen is starting...but the whole "sit and learn" thing makes no sense to me at all.

You drafted the man number one overall...what would be difference in "sitting and learning" from a couch somewhere?

How does not being in game speed and not seeing how things work by your own account "learning".

Get him in the damn game!

Do the think if Rodgers started as soon as he was drafted he would have preformed anywhere close to how he is now? No, he have probably done terrible. But instead he sat and watched how Brett got ready of games, a little technique here and there, etc. Sitting Cam and letting him learn would be the ideal situation, however we don't have anyone for him to sit behind.

Peyton Manning

Joe Flacco

Matt Ryan

Mark Sanchez

Sam Bradford

Who did they "sit and learn" from?

I'll sack up and say that if jimmy does succeed then my pride will take a hit just because I have been on the anti jimmy wagon since draft day of last year, but if we end up winning a SB with him as the starter then I would gladly tell everyone that I was "so wrong and jimmy is the man"

of course I know this won't happen so the question itself is moot.

FWIW, anyone judging a player based on last year is a f**king idiot.. especially a rookie at the QB position...

Well I'm a "true" fan! So of course I'll cheer him!...

Then with the first int, fumble, missed Wr, etc... I'll rush to the forums demanding Cam be put in, cursing Rivera for not being able to see that jimmy sux, insisting that its why Hurney should have been fired years ago, & calling JR a hick...

All from my phone, at Buffalo Wild Wings fuggin up some hot bbq wings.

Here is my thought process. I want whoever is better prepared to play this year to play this year. If it turns out to be Jimmy, fine. Cam gets reps in practice and gets to learn more, Jimmy gets trade value if he does well. Some will say "why trade Jimmy if he's looking promising and getting better?" Simple. At his peak, Jimmy will only be a game manager, much like Jake was in his prime. Not a guy who can take over games and make you worry, but a guy who can help move the chains and keep us in decent situations while the run game takes over. That is good. But having a QB that can shock and awe a team to death and make them want to kill themselves, ON TOP of a solid run game and a terrific defense....just sounds better to me.

Cam will be that, eventually. I would rather it sooner than later, because I am ready to see the guy play. But, if it takes a year or two, that is fine. I don't want him ruined. If Jimmy was doing good and we decided to keep him and trade Newton, Newton would potentially become that exciting, dominant player somewhere else, and we'd eventually end up having to play against him...and that would terrify me. Having to play against game managing Jimmy is far less difficult.

Again, just my humble opinion.
