If Clausen starts and does well, will you boo him anyway?

People booed Clausen last year because he played so awful. Fans didn't boo him right out of the gate. It was usually after several three and outs, a few sacks on third down, and a pick before the boos came out. The same thing would happen this year as well. If Jimmy played well and we moved the ball, fans would be behind him all the way rooting for his succcess. If he struggled mightily, the calls for Newton would grow exponentially. There are always a few extremists on either side of the issue, but the vast majority of fans particularly those at the game want to win and really don't care who is responsible for it.

I'll sack up and say that if jimmy does succeed then my pride will take a hit just because I have been on the anti jimmy wagon since draft day of last year, but if we end up winning a SB with him as the starter then I would gladly tell everyone that I was "so wrong and jimmy is the man"

of course I know this won't happen so the question itself is moot.

no it just means cam can sit and learn somemore

How the hell do you learn anything sitting on the sidelines?

He might learn what not to do if Clausen is starting...but the whole "sit and learn" thing makes no sense to me at all.

You drafted the man number one overall...what would be difference in "sitting and learning" from a couch somewhere?

How does not being in game speed and not seeing how things work by your own account "learning".

Get him in the damn game!
