if so, where do you find the best deals?

according to kayak.com (which i use all the time, it's the best thing i've found for buying airline ticktes) the cheapest going fare for a ONE DAY rental of a small sedan, picking up in cuzco, peru, and dropping off in lima, is $750.

no possible way that's a reasonable price, especially in peru.

When I was living in Spain, my dad came and visited me for a week and we rented a car. I found it through priceline.

EDIT: Yeah, check priceline. Found one for $38 bucks.
