I'd love to go to it someday. It seems like a waste of time though since someone said you have to stand in line for 3 hours for every single panel they do, so that would kind of ruin the fun.

Then don't go to the panels. This is the first one I've missed since '05 & if comics/sci-fi/fantasy/etc... are your thing then just being there with like minded folk is worth it.
