Sitting watching tape off bronco offense from last year! Orton or The Golden Calf of Bristol? It's embarrassing to think the broncos could win with The Golden Calf of Bristol!!

and with Fox in denver, I don't expect The Golden Calf of Bristol to be able to do much.

Unless Orton goes down to injury, I suspect The Golden Calf of Bristol will be traded by 2012.

His skill set goes against everything Fox wants from a QB (stand in the pocket and throw long balls downfield).

The Golden Calf of Bristol is pretty awful, he's about to get beat out by Brady Quinn, that's pretty much says everything.

How much of that is coaching though?

Seriously...

Mechanics can be improved with the right training and practice. I think if The Golden Calf of Bristol got with the right people, he could transform into a starter.

Sadly, John Fox will never tend to that.

He should have been doing that in the offseason like Newton, he's changed his throwing motion and he still sucks.

So... wait a sec...

You're saying The Golden Calf of Bristol's mechanics have improved, yet he still sucks, based on some training camp comments?

I think any sort of evaluation of the guy should come from some actual scrimmage game play. Like, you know... what they use Preseason for.

He may still have some mechanics issues. He may not. He may just need to get his timing down with his receivers. There's a lot that goes into the looks at that position.

But to sacrifice the kid on the altar of suckage, having only one year under his belt and three starts, is a bit unfair. Furthermore, I doubt we'll see him get developed under Fox.

In contrast, Jimmy Clausen is getting the same treatment, but he has far less athleticism than The Golden Calf of Bristol has, and showed even less promise with more starts (The Golden Calf of Bristol actually had more TDs than Ints in three starts).

Look, The Golden Calf of Bristol isn't gonna get a chance, we know Fox loves his vets.

:iagree:

That is what it is.

Yall know as much as I do that Fox handles the media very well, as far as his team and players are concerned. He sucks to listen to as a fan, but he is cast in the same mold as Belicheck as far as Im concerned regarding handling the bullsh*t media and their sh*t stirring agenda.

Huh?

Fox's handling of the media is terrible. He just spouts cliches and innuendos. He's so full of bullpoo, I'm surprised a political party hasn't tried to recruit him to run for office.

How many times did that cock sucker just say "I haven't had a chance to look at the tape." when asked about specific bonehead plays? That's such bullpoo, when your OC is sitting in a media booth, and they can print pics of plays seconds to minutes after they happen, AND you're standing there on the field.

After hearing it for years, all I could come away with is that he's a practiced liar. I guess he can be considered similar to Bellicheat in that respect.

    • Hornets actually have good young talent, but they just can't play good team ball.   Lee doesn't look like a good hire at HC so far.
    • Apparently it did no good. Getting spanked by the Wizards…again!
    • I'd be looking at mid to late round QBs every single draft simply because the potential ROI is so high. Hell, even if I have an entrenched starter and backup that wouldn't change the equation. Hit on one and I'd trade my entrenched backup to a desperate team and now I have a quality backup in a rookie contract to protect cap space and a potential asset to trade down the road or hell even develop into a starter if my starter is aging or has a career detailing injury or maybe the young guy simply proves to be better at some point. Once you get the the 4th or 5th round you're basically throwing darts at the board hoping to hit on something at that point. Most of those guys will prove to not be long for the league anyway.  I'm not saying reach on a guy just because he's a QB but if I have similarly rated prospects on the board and we're talking about a FB, a blocking TE, and a  OG with limited upside, well that's a no brainer to me. Roll the dice on the QB.
