I guess it's down to Kelvin Hayden or a CB that is cut

We will sign someone off of waivers because we have first dibs. Theres nothing worth bringing in off the FA market, especially considering what happened to the Giants.

As far as Hayden, living in Indiana and being subjected to a plethora of Colts games, Id have to say Hayden isn't worth it. He was good back in the day but that was mostly because the Colt's D had a phenomenal pass rush, and the offense was usually on the field for the better part of the day. Also it helped that everyone attacked Indy's run defense.

The players that are cut, are not top of the crop players, hell hardly any of them are average.

I dont think anyone said anyone cut will be the cream of the crop. Most likely the CB's on our roster will be our best option (excluding trade) but there will be people out there that will provide good depth and possibly beat out people like Burney and Chevis Jackson for a spot.
